If you enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, identifying desert flowers, observing desert wildlife, and exploring new and often undiscovered areas of our deserts with a group of similar-minded people, then Desert Survivors is for you! Members are of all ages and all backgrounds; no one is too old or infirm to enjoy or defend the desert.

You can learn and use new skills, such as navigation and map reading, the identification of flora and fauna, the political realities of the agencies that administer the desert land, and what it takes to be an effective advocate.

Membership benefits include:

• Biannual issues of our newsletter, The Survivor.
• More than 20 trips per year at varying locations and levels of difficulty, from mountaineering to car camping. Trips are open to members only. Come with us for just once a year or 12+ times a year—the choice is yours. You will be amazed at the diversity, fun, and knowledge of fellow Desert Survivors.
• Social events such as potluck parties, picnics, and slide shows.
• Opportunities to get involved in all aspects of Desert Survivors, including preservation campaigns and action committees, hands-on desert service trips, and building a vibrant conservation organization.

Membership dues are only $30/year, although additional donations are welcome. Each membership applies to one individual adult.
